The fine print the deal, briefly

Applicant Terms

Last updated: 10 June 2026

A quick honest note: this is a plain-English template and not formal legal advice — please have it reviewed before relying on it.

These are the terms for applying to be on Potentially Soulmates, an in-real-life reality dating show. By submitting a casting application, you're agreeing to the points below. We've kept them short and readable on purpose.

Who can apply

You must be at least 18 years old on the day filming starts. Filming is currently planned for the week of 1–7 July 2026 in Kuala Lumpur (dates unconfirmed and subject to change). If you won't be 18 by then, please wait for a future season.

Applying is free, and it commits you to nothing

Submitting an application is completely free and always will be. Applying doesn't put you under any obligation — you're simply telling us you're interested. You can withdraw at any point before you sign a participation agreement, just by emailing us.

No guarantee of selection or outcome

Applying does not guarantee that you'll be selected, that you'll appear on the show, or that anything in particular will happen if you do. There are a limited number of spots, and casting decisions are entirely ours. We also can't promise you'll find a connection, a relationship, fame, or any other result — it's an experiment, and that's part of the fun.

Your information must be true and yours

By applying, you confirm that everything you tell us is true and accurate, and that the photo, video, and any other material you submit are genuinely you and yours to share. Please don't upload anything that belongs to someone else or that you don't have the right to send us.

The show is filmed — and a separate agreement comes first

Potentially Soulmates is a filmed production that's intended to be shared publicly. If you're selected:

  • You'll be asked to read and sign a separate, detailed participation, likeness, and media-release agreement before any filming begins.
  • That later agreement — not this page — is what would cover filming, being shown publicly, and any related rights.
  • Until you sign such an agreement, applying does not transfer any rights in your photo, video, name, likeness, or answers to us beyond what we need to review your application (see our Privacy Policy).

Honesty & conduct

We're looking for genuine, kind, real people. We expect applicants to be honest with us and respectful in any contact with the team. We may decline or withdraw any application at our discretion — for example, if information turns out to be untrue or if conduct gives us reasonable concern.

Details may change

This is an evolving production. Details such as the filming dates, location, format, and timeline are not final and may change, be postponed, or be cancelled. We'll do our best to keep selected applicants informed of anything important.

Limitation of liability

We provide this application process honestly and in good faith, but to the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any indirect or unexpected losses arising from your application or from changes to, or cancellation of, the production. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes relating to them will be handled in the Malaysian courts.
